Walls are an open gate to the outside world letting heat and noise travel through them with ease.

You can lose up to 25% of the heat in your home through the external walls in winter and around the same amount of heat can enter in through the walls during summer. Insulation essentially acts as a barrier to slow down this process and makes a substantial difference to the temperature you will feel inside, meaning you can live more comfortably and spend less on energy. Information on Bradford and Rockwool is below. For further information or advice on a particular application, contact your nearest Consolidated Energy office.

Bradford Wall Insulation

Bradford wall batts are available in R-Values from R1.5 – R2.5. Manufactured from glasswool, the batts are specially stiffened and treated to provide a moisture resistant insulation that meets the Building Code of Australia’s minimum requirements for energy efficiency in homes. The glasswool used is made up of very thin glass fibres that are spun like fairy floss to create millions of air pockets. These air pockets are very poor conductors of heat and resist the flow of air or radiation through the insulation. Bradford insulation for walls can reduce energy used for heating and cooling by up to 20% leading to a decrease in your energy consumption and in your energy bills.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS

  • Earthwool Batts are odourless, rot proof, non-hygroscopic, do not sustain vermin and will not encourage the growth of fungi, mould or bacteria.

  • Excellent acoustical properties reduce sound transmission in the home when properly installed in walls, ceiling and floor systems.

  • Low dust for easier handling and increased productivity.

  • Consistent quality materials feel good, cut easily and install fast.

  • Highly resilient insulation recovers quickly to full thickness once out of bag for a snug fit and superior finished aesthetics.

Rockwool Wall Insulation

Consolidated Energy offer various brands of Rockwool (mineral fibre wool) in various thicknesses and dimensions to suit your buildings non combustion fire safety needs.

Our Rockwool wall insulation product range boasts excellent thermal performance both in winter and summer. Stone wool slabs can add significant mass to the building envelope, ensuring summer comfort by keeping the heat outside.
